Within Lipscomb's Christian academic community and the larger educational community, the mission of the Teacher Education Program is C.A.R.E..... that is, to prepare caring educational leaders who: • practice their craft in an exemplary manner • possess attitudes and values worthy of imitation • relate to members of all communities within the educational experience • demonstrate knowledge essential for the profession

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Teacher Education Program is to offer undergraduate and graduate programs of professional training which enable qualified persons to develop into competent and caring teachers. Undergraduate courses are designed to meet licensure requirements and to provide a foundation for graduate study in education.
